A Little Touch

Changing my patient's brief this happened.

I thought it was an accident, but then she said:

"I used to have breasts like this."

Then she caressed my waist and then went back to my breast.

What can I say?  I have nice breasts.  Even old confused ladies know it.

Sick

I've been laying in bed for almost 48 hours straight.

Sick.

Too sick to even watch Dr. Quinn. And if you know me, that is really sick.  All I did was lay in bed quietly with the light off and try and sleep.

And no, I'm not going to see the doctor for one episode of emesis and one soft stool (YKYANW #2).

I've been staying hydrated with a gallon of water next to my bed that I got for the hurricane that didn't come here last month.  So emergency preparedness isn't just for doomsday preppers.  And juice my roomie got for me.

I think I'm going to start moving around soon.  Maybe.

I work 3 nights in a row starting Saturday night.  I'll be all better by then, by the grace of God.

You know you're a nurse when...

You take your shoes off before going into the house.  Take your pants off before they drag on the carpet.  You run and get the Lysol disinfectant spray.  You go outside pant-less to disinfect your car hoping no one will see you.  You don't care when you get caught...

Isolation rooms gross me out.  God help me.
